A local cheese producer making cheese in Sonoma Valley:
Vella’s Cheese, 315 Second Street East, Sonoma (707) 938-3232. Vella’s is famous for their prize-winning Dry Jack cheese. Their Toma soft cheese and all others are made from the purest of chemical-free milk from Mertens Dairy in Sonoma. Owner Ig Vella served as Sonoma County Supervisor and Director of the Sonoma County Fair.

Ernest Holman Dog Park, north of Sonoma Police Station on First Street West, donated by Sonoman Sue Holman in honor of her late pooch. Holman and Susan Weeks just completed their term as co-Alcaldessas of Sonoma and run Meals on Wheels.
